Here's what past students have to say about our programs
"Etienne has absolutely shaped, and in some ways revolutionized, my approach to being a fitness professional. Through his guidance, I have developed a deeper understanding of the base components of the human body, which in turn has allowed me to make more educated decisions regarding my own clients.
I would not be half the trainer that I am today if it wasn’t for Etienne’s help over the years, and anyone who has an opportunity to learn from him should seize it!"
Ryan T.
"As a student of Etienne’s, I’ve developed thought processes that have been fundamental to my overall understanding of exercise science.
If you have an opportunity to learn from Etienne, do not hesitate to take the chance. You will leave any teaching opportunity of his refreshed with new knowledge, and/or a more refined application of the knowledge you may already have. His sheer passion for his craft speaks for itself."
Lorenz Z.
"Etienne's knowledge is exceptional, but what truly sets him and this course apart, is his ability to communicate complex concepts in a way that is both engaging and easy to understand. Etienne is an outstanding educator who creates a positive and stimulating learning environment. I left the course with a much deeper understanding of biomechanics and anatomy. Anyone who has the opportunity to learn from him is fortunate to do so."

Your instructor: Etienne Asselin, mhRTS
Hi there, my name is Etienne Asselin, I'm the founder of The Exercise Mechanic.
As your instructor, my goal is to empower you. This means I may not always give you the answers you're looking for on a silver platter. I may make you work for them. I do this because the best learning requires active engagement not passive consumption. My goal is to take you beyond surface level memorization and into the rare air of clinical understanding.
I believe in creating a fun, dynamic, tailored and judgement-free learning environment for my students. Learning new things can be messy and uncomfortable at times. My job is to not only share with you the lessons I've learned throughout the years, but also teach you where to look so that you're equipped with the tools you need to be successful long beyond our time together.
